Am I Forgetting Something?
I have been in a rush getting ready for PCA. Trying to get last minute things done, keep Chauncey working, and get them all groomed for vacation. Chauncey is going with me as she is entered in obedience and rally. My mom is going to take care of Jasmine and Blueberry is staying with my trainer, Maggie. I'm trying to get my house in order and make sure I have all my clothes and stuff I need to take with me. I am packing everyone's suitcase (I didn't realize they had so much stuff) and make sure I have all of Chauncey's equipment ready to go and her grooming box. Since we are spending Sat and Sun at the Hunt Test, I 'm sure she will need a bath before the obedience show.
I met Maggie at our local training center to do some run throughs with Chauncey. She is doing much better with her attention, but still gets sidetracked by a dumbbell or jump. She did good on her heeling patter, much better off lead than last week. She did her long sit & stay just fine. We did those with an open class, so it was 3 min sit and 5min down, but I stayed inside while they left the building. I did a little better myself with my nerves and rembering to make my body function correctly and keep Chauncey focused on me. I find myself getting so nervous and I know it affects my dog. I've always had this problem, showing horses, giving talks, anything where I have to do something in front of people. I will try to focus and take deep breaths.

Blueberry is very photogenic, although she would prefer not to be a model:o)
Maybe one year you both will make it to PCA and we can meet. Since I don't see myself in Alaska anytime soon:o)

We're hoping to go to PCA someday, not sure when, though.
